September Crate: Nativity of Mary, Michaelmas & Adoration
Can you smell fall? We’re almost there, and with the changing of leaves comes a brand new box full of awesome goodness. This month we will feast with Mary and the Archangels, bask in the presence of Christ at adoration, memorize a prayer for spiritual battle, and grow in the virtue of justice. Our monthly boxes empower you to build a Catholic culture in your home and share our beautiful faith with your children. We are all on this journey to sainthood together!
Feast Day #1: Nativity of Mary (September 8th)
Nativity of Mary Art
Each month your crate includes two art prints to help you celebrate your feast days. On the back of your lovely print, you can find feast day information to share with your little saints. Display these on the feast day, or all month long. Collect these prints for years to come.
Mary's Cupcake Toppers
This month you and your saints in training will celebrate the Nativity of Mary (not to be confused with the Nativity of Christ). We are celebrating Mary's birthday with one-of-a-kind cupcake toppers! Bake cupcakes (or stick the toppers in pancakes, sandwiches, or cut-up fruit) and sing Happy Birthday in honor of Mary's birth.
I Spy Many Marian Things
Find all the Marian things.
BONUS Pray a Hail Mary or a decade of the Rosary together before bed!
Feast Day #2: Michaelmas (September 29th)
Michaelmas (pronounced Mickel-mas) is a feast day celebrating the Archangels: St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael. Enjoy these prints for years to come.
Be sure to read the back of your art print to your growing saints while they work on their very own archangel shields.
Have fun with these beautiful stickers.
Catechesis Corner: Adoration
My Time with Jesus Prayer Booklet
This month we challenge your family to participate in adoration. Adoration is a beautiful experience for adults and children. You get to sit in the presence of Jesus Christ, your King, and Savior!
You’ll find some awesome goodies to make adoration a special time for your saints in training. Pack up that backpack and get going!
Beautiful Words: St. Michael the Archangel Prayer
In 1884, Pope Leo XIII reportedly had a vision of evil spirits attacking the Church. In his vision, Leo also saw St. Michael cast Satan and his demons back into Hell. After this experience, Leo wrote the St. Michael the Archangel prayer to help defend the faith. Memorize this prayer, use it as armor to defend yourself from individual struggles, but also to protect the Church and her mission.
Virtue Chat Table Topper: Justice
Each month we will focus on a particular virtue as a family. Put this table topper wherever you eat meals together and use it to guide daily conversation. Read the brief reflection and discuss what things immediately pop into your head. Invite each person at the table to share their insights. There are NO wrong responses. We are all learning together. As a family, show generosity and gratitude to each person who shares. This is a beautiful way to unite our families and develop strong character.
Each month includes a playlist full of beautiful music. We encourage you to play the music in the car, at home during the day, during bath time, while cleaning--basically in the background of your normal everyday life.
