September Crate Unveiling: Nurturing Faith and Virtue in Your Family

Hi CFC Family!

As we embrace the beginning of a new school year, September offers us a beautiful opportunity to deepen our family's faith and connection to the Church. This month's crate is thoughtfully curated to help you and your children grow in faith, celebrate the lives of saints, and cultivate virtues that will last a lifetime. Let's dive into what's inside your September crate!

Feast Day Calendar Stickers

Keep track of significant feast days with these colorful and engaging calendar stickers. This simple tool makes it easy for your family to anticipate and prepare for the special days in the liturgical calendar. Each sticker is a small reminder of the rich traditions of our faith.

Feast Day Art Prints

Our beautiful Feast Day Art Prints are perfect for helping your children learn about the saints. These prints capture the essence of each saint’s life and mission. They are perfect for display on your family calendar, serving as a daily reminder of these holy men and women who inspire us to live out our faith more fully.

Feast Day Activities

This month, we have two special saints to celebrate with engaging activities that bring their stories to life.

  • St. Teresa of Calcutta (September 5th): Gather your children for a creative activity where they can craft a mini Mother Teresa. This activity not only introduces them to this remarkable saint but also teaches them about her life of service and compassion. Pair it with the Feast Day Art Print to create a meaningful learning experience.

  • St. Vincent de Paul (September 27th): Embark on a family scavenger hunt for donations, inspired by St. Vincent de Paul’s dedication to the poor. Wear your special buttons we included for each child when you drop off your donations to a local charity, and keep it as a reminder of your commitment to serving others. Perfect for those back to school backpacks! Don’t forget to explore the Feast Day Art Print to learn more about this generous saint.

For Those Who Don’t Receive Our Crates:
Even if you don’t have our crate, there are still wonderful ways to celebrate these inspiring saints with your family:

  • St. Teresa of Calcutta:

    • Watch a Documentary or Read a Book: Learn about her life and mission through a family-friendly documentary or a children’s book. Discuss how her example of love and service can inspire your family.
    • Acts of Kindness: In honor of St. Teresa, challenge your family to perform small acts of kindness throughout the day. Whether it’s helping a neighbor, writing a note of encouragement, or volunteering, each act is a way to embody her spirit of compassion.
  • St. Vincent de Paul:

    • Donation Drive: Organize a simple donation drive in your home. Gather items you no longer need and bring them to a local charity. Discuss with your children the importance of giving to those in need, just as St. Vincent did.
    • Family Service Project: Consider planning a family service project, such as preparing a meal for a homeless shelter or visiting an elderly neighbor. Use this opportunity to teach your children about the joy of serving others.

Catechesis Corner: Catholic Seasonal Art

Celebrate your faith year-round with our Catholic Seasonal Art collection. This set includes 50 art prints for Catholic things throughout the year. The open-top box with dividers for each of the liturgical seasons makes it easy to access and display the prints throughout the year. This is a wonderful way to visually anchor your family in the rhythm of the Church’s liturgical calendar.

Beautiful Words: Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel

September is also the month we celebrate the Feast of the Archangels, with a special focus on St. Michael. The prayer to St. Michael the Archangel is a powerful tool in our spiritual battle against evil. This month’s crate includes a beautifully designed prayer card to help you and your family invoke his protection and strength.

Virtue Chat Table Topper: Generosity

This month, we are focusing on the virtue of generosity. Place the Virtue Chat Table Topper on your dining table to guide your family’s conversations around this important virtue. Discuss how you can be more generous in your daily lives, drawing inspiration from the saints you’ve learned about this month.

For Those Without the Table Topper:
You can still encourage meaningful conversations at mealtime by focusing on the virtue of generosity. Pose questions like, "How can we be more generous with our time?" or "Who in our community could use our help this week?" These discussions can help your family grow in virtue together.

Monthly Resources

Don’t forget to check out our online resources! We’ve included a specially curated playlist to accompany your September crate, as well as extra printables to enhance your family's experience.

As we journey through September, let’s take this time to grow closer to Christ and to one another. Through the lives of the saints, the beauty of our faith, and the virtues we cultivate, may our families be strengthened in love and service.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your family’s spiritual journey. We pray that this month’s crate brings joy, inspiration, and a deeper connection to our beautiful Catholic faith.

In Christ,

Elissa
