November Crate: St. Martin de Porres, St. Frances Xavier Cabrini & Mysteries of the Rosary [Sorrowful and Glorious]

The holidays are upon us, and we are here to deliver two more (stress-free) celebrations for you! This month you will feast with St. Martin de Porres and St. Frances Xavier Cabrini. You will also learn about the sorrowful and glorious mysteries of the Holy Rosary, grow in virtue, and memorize a new prayer. Our monthly boxes empower you to build a Catholic culture in your home and share our beautiful faith with your children. We are all on this journey to sainthood together!

Bingo! with St. Martin de Porres

To celebrate this amazing saint’s joyful heart in the face of unjust discrimination, you also get to play Bingo! with St. Martin as a family. Each image reveals something about St. Martin de Porres’ spirituality, life, and work. As an added challenge, you can discuss how to fight racism in your own community this month.

Feast Day #2: St. Frances Xavier Cabrini (November 13th)

St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Art

Each month your crate includes two art prints to help you celebrate your feast days. On the back of your lovely print, you can find feast day information to share with your little saints. Display these on the feast day, or all month long. Collect these prints for years to come.

Cabrini’s Companions

You get to join St. Frances Cabrini on a mission! But first you must cut out her missionary companions because no missionary should travel alone! This month, St. Frances is bringing her favorite archangel and another missionary who served in America named St. Damien of Molokai. Whom will you bring on your mission? Where will you go? How will you bring Christ to the people there?

Catechesis Corner: Mysteries of the Rosary [Sorrowful and Glorious]

In October, your family prayed the joyful and luminous mysteries. This month you will join Mary and Jesus in the sorrowful and glorious mysteries. Your littlest and biggest saints will enjoy learning about the mysteries through pictures, stories, and Scripture. Remember, it’s okay if your family can’t make it through an entire rosary. You can focus on a single mystery, pray a Hail Mary, Our Father, and Glory Be, or pray one decade a week.

Monthly Staples:

Beautiful Words: Come Holy Spirit

There are very few prayers written to God the Holy Spirit. This month you get to learn one! Jesus described the Holy Spirit as an “Advocate” and a “Spirit of Truth” who will be with you forever (John 14:15-17). Advocate comes from the Latin word advocare which means “to call to one’s aid.” In this prayer, you are calling your Advocate--the Holy Spirit--to aid you and fill your heart with truth and love!

Virtue Chat Table Topper: Gratitude

Each month we will focus on a particular virtue as a family. Put this table topper wherever you eat meals together and use it to guide daily conversation. Read the brief reflection and discuss what things immediately pop into your head. Invite each person at the table to share their insights. There are NO wrong responses. We are all learning together. As a family, show generosity and gratitude to each person who shares. This is a beautiful way to unite our families and develop strong character.

Spotify Playlist

Each month includes a playlist full of beautiful music. We encourage you to play the music in the car, at home during the day, during bath time, while cleaning--basically in the background of your normal everyday life
