St. Damien of Molokai
Hello CFC Family! We are praying for all you today and everyday.
On May 10th we celebrate St. Damien of Molokai, a wonderful example of service, humility, charity, and MERCY.
As a missionary on the Island of Molokai, St. Damien served a colony of lepers. Damien tried to meet the spiritual and physical needs of the sick through the spiritual and corporal works of mercy. He administered the sacraments, prayed with the sick, repaired a rundown Chapel, procured basic necessities, built a hospital, and opened an orphanage with a school. ⛪ 🏥 🏫 In celebration of this servant of God, we challenge your family to practice the works of mercy with St. Damien of Molokai. Find one way to serve the sick spiritually or physically this week.
Subscribers, you’re ready for this challenge! Set up those feast day art prints, play I SPY with your saints in training, and write a comforting message to a sick friend. Bonus points if you deliver the card with a meal.
