Let’s feast with the Guardian Angels (October 2nd)! 👼👼
A guardian angel is assigned to each soul at birth. These angels provide guidance, protect from demons, and encourage good works and wise decisions. Guardian angels can not affect free will, though they can encourage holiness by affecting our imaginations and senses. When a soul reaches heaven, it is united with its guardian angel!
What a gift our guardian angels are to us! From conception to death, we are surrounded by their holy presence in each and every moment. Today we thank God for this heavenly gift and celebrate our personal, powerful protector and guide!
Time to Celebrate!
Good news! A festive feast doesn’t need to be fussy! Here are a few easy ways to celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels:
- Recite the Guardian Angel prayer as a family. (CFC Subscribers… Your October crate features the Guardian Angel prayer. Help saints in training memorize this special prayer and develop a friendship with their angel by displaying the prayer print where you can see and recite it this month!)
- Draw a picture of your guardian angel. Angels are often depicted with human-like bodies with wings. However, angels are purely spiritual beings so they don’t have bodies like we do. Encourage your little saints to use their imaginations to create a portrait of their special protector.
- Bake (or buy!) an Angel Food cake. Top with strawberries and whipped cream for an extra-special treat!
What a wonderful gift our guardian angels are to us! Another great gift? A Catholic Family Crate monthly subscription! Support friends and families on their journey to sainthood by giving the gift of a monthly box. Learn more!
